Tredudwell Manor Wedding - May
As May approaches the garden is alive with bird song and the day light hours are increasing. Delicate blooms offer so much variety and movement it is a beautiful time of year to marry in Cornwall.
Hannah and David were blessed by warm sunshine and having to adapt to a smaller more family affair post covid they embraced the requirements and played games on the lawn. It looked like a wonderful day.
Huge thanks to Hannah and David for adapting to the changes and trusting my vision and of course John Hersey for creating beautiful lasting memories through his images.
The Detail
The Bridal Party Flowers
Using a light spring colour palette to create delicate bridal party flowers was really important to Hannah. She was keen to keep the day very simple and relaxed and wanted the flowers to look freshly gathered from the garden. Hannah’s bouquet was light and airy in design and finished with a beautiful silk ribbon which complemented her dress. Filled with sweet rocket, Icelandic poppies and snap dragons the flowers we a beautiful selection of spring.
The Ceremony
Using the beautiful footed urn as the back drop for the ceremony space gave space for the bridal party to gather together. Using an arrangement like this makes it very easy to re-purpose it to another location like the main pavilion.
The registry table we dressed with a simple vase arrangement in spring tones, ensuring the scale was not too big for this intimate moment.
The Reception
On long feasting tables we used a mix of ceramic pottery to dress the tables with spring tones. Low bowls held delicate blooms from the garden like stocks, sweet rocket, Icelandic poppies and snap dragons. and heady scent of flowering mint for foliage. Hannah did an incredible job of sourcing beautiful linen and the table was dotted with vintage postcards from home towns.
Family
Looking back at these images you really get a sense that Hannah and David celebrated with close family and friends. Covid meant they couldn’t have a huge wedding but the day didn’t look compromised at all.
