Cornish Tipi Wedding for Sarah & Jack - May
After a cold and rather wet spring the weather gifted us a warm spring weekend for Sarah’s & Jack’s wedding at Cornish Tipi. We all couldn’t believe their luck!
Sarah & Jack were wonderful to work with - their relaxed approach to wedding planning meant I could focus on growing their flowers and brining them the best of the garden on the day. We discussed a soft colour palette with pops of colour but ultimately they were happy with whatever was in season….a dream!
After the wedding Sarah dropped me an email:
“I wanted to get in touch as Jack and I are now getting back into the swing of normal life and we wanted to send a HUGE thank you for your flowers on our wedding day!!
Your flowers were some of our most favourite parts of the day, and you were so generous with your time and what you put together for us. Isaac's flower collar (their whippet) was so sweet, I adored my bouquet, and oh my goodness the flowers in the pavillion and the marquee were so beautiful.
We also wanted to thank you so much for recommending John Hersey for our photography - he was absolutely amazing on the day and in the lead up, and we are beyond delighted with our photos. You were absolutely right, we are so pleased we had a photographer, and he was perfect!”

Bridal Party Flowers
I created Sarah’s bouquet with the beautiful Clare De Lune peonies as a feature. Mixed with soft sweetly smelling stocks this bouquet was a gentle feminine design.
Bridesmaids varied in ingredients with the overall collection working together to create seasonal design.
I created a flower dog crown for their whippet which is always so fun.
Ceremony Flowers
Gosh this pavilion - where to start! The cow parsley, the peonies, the bearded irises, the foxgloves - May you absolute beauty!
We used the framework of the pavilion to create a growing installation, of which a percentage could be repurposed up to the marque. The living aisle planter on the opposite side created a more asymmetrical design which looked natural, soft and complimented the bridal party colours.
Living aisle planters were added to the aisle and little bunches of flowers were tied to the chairs with velvet ribbons.
And the sun shone…..totally magic!
Reception Flowers
Using a selection of vintage pottery I created florals that would weave amongst the long tables. Bud vases with frothy ingredients like sweet rocket complimented chunky vintage marmalade jars filled with peonies and stocks.
Above the heads of those on the top table I created a foliage hoop, wild and free which dangled down to create an element of drama.
Couple Shots
I had to include some of these just because John’s work blows my mind…. so utterly beautiful.
