Boconnoc House - May Wedding
Eleanor & James married at the end of May 2019 at the beautiful Boconnoc House, a venue which is only a few fields away from my own garden! Eleanor had a keen eye for design and colour and working with her was really fun as we seemed to just bounce ideas off each other. I was also super lucky that she completely trusted me to use ‘what was looking best’ in my garden as her wedding date approached. With soft tones in peach and pink we wanted the seasonality to be the key focus for their wedding.
All these beautiful images were captured by Debs Alexander whom I’ve worked with on a number of weddings now and would highly recommend to any couple seeking a photographer.
The Detail
The Bridal Party Flowers
Eleanors bouquet was filled with seasonal flowers. The star of the bouquet were the Clair de Lune peonies grown in inside my tunnel. The bouquet was finished with plant dyed silk ribbon by Lancaster & Cornish. On the morning of the wedding a floral comb was created to sit above a long veil - picking out flowers used within the bridal party collection.
The Ceremony
With the weather on their side Eleanor and James married in the old Bath House in the grounds of Boconnoc. This is a beautiful space and requires little over decoration especially in May when the gardens are full of the wonderful Rhododendrons!
The Reception in The Garden Room
Eleanor and I really considered the colours and seasons in May and brought this through into her table settings. Complimented by beautiful blush runners and tapered candles in tones to match…with the added cheeky pop of airforce blue the final effect was stunning.
